Refer & Earn

Refer & Earn lets you earn a share of the revenue generated by builders you bring to Rival. There’s no cap on how many people you can refer, and your earnings come from Rival’s platform fee - not from the creators you referred.

Who can refer

Refer & Earn is available to organization Owners who have verified their phone number. If you haven’t verified yet, go to Settings → Org Profile (/user/org-profile) and add your phone number. Once verified, your referral link is ready.

Your referral link lives at Settings → Refer & Earn (/user/refer). Copy it and share wherever you reach other builders - social profiles, newsletters, communities, or directly with people you think would benefit from Rival.

How it works

When someone signs up through your referral link and starts building, you earn 5% of the revenue their tools and agents generate. Attribution is set at signup - once someone joins through your link, they’re permanently associated with you.

Your earnings:

  • Land in your organization’s wallet on a Net 30 schedule (earnings from a given month are paid out 30 days after the month closes).
  • Can be withdrawn through the standard payout process.

Revenue split

For every paid run of a referred builder’s tool or agent:

  • 85% goes to the tool or agent creator
  • 10% goes to Rival as a platform fee
  • 5% goes to you as the referrer (taken from Rival’s share)

Referring builders is net-positive for everyone: the creator earns exactly the same whether or not they signed up through your link.

Tracking your earnings

You can track Refer & Earn earnings in two places:

  • /user/refer - your referral page shows the link, referred users, and lifetime earnings at a glance.
  • /user/billing → Earnings - the full earnings ledger across referrals and any other revenue streams.

Rules

  • New users only. Only accounts created through your referral link qualify. Attribution is set at signup and can’t be changed retroactively.
  • No self-referrals. You can’t use your own link to create a second account.
  • No abuse. Fake accounts, duplicate accounts, and accounts created to game the program are ineligible and may result in losing referral access.
