Referral Program

The Rival referral program lets you earn a share of the revenue generated by builders you bring to the platform. There’s no cap on how many people you can refer, and your earnings come from Rival’s own platform fee - not from the creators you referred.

Who is eligible

The referral program is available to organization owners who have verified their phone number. If you haven’t verified yet, go to Workspace Settings → Organization and add your phone number to receive a verification code. Once verified, your referral link is ready to use.

Getting your referral link

Your referral link is in Workspace Settings → Refer & Earn. Copy it and share it wherever you reach other builders - your social profiles, newsletters, communities, or directly with individuals you think would benefit from Rival.

How it works

When someone signs up through your referral link and builds tools that generate revenue, you earn 5% of that revenue. Attribution happens at signup - if someone uses your link to create their account, they’re associated with you permanently, regardless of when they start earning.

Your earnings are calculated monthly and paid on a Net 30 basis. They go directly to your organization’s wallet, where they can be withdrawn through the standard payout process.

Note

Your 5% earnings come from Rival’s 10% platform fee, not from the tool creator’s share. The creator keeps 85% of their tool revenue regardless of whether they signed up through a referral.

Revenue split

For every paid execution on a referred user’s tool:

• 85% goes to the tool creator
• 10% goes to Rival (the platform fee)
• 5% goes to you as the referrer (taken from Rival’s share)

This means referring builders is a net positive for them - they earn exactly as much whether or not they signed up through a referral link.

Rules

A few important rules govern the program.

Only new users who create their account through your referral link qualify. Attribution is set at the moment of signup and cannot be changed retroactively.

Self-referrals are prohibited. You cannot use your own referral link to create a new account and earn from yourself.

Fake accounts, duplicate accounts, and accounts created to circumvent the program rules are ineligible and may result in your referral access being revoked.

Caution

The referral cap is $500 per referred user per calendar year. This is a per-user cap, not a total cap - you can earn up to $500 from each person you refer, across as many referrals as you make.

Payouts

We manage payouts directly to your connected account, such as your Stripe or PayPal account—whichever is set as your default
