Welcome Credits
When you create a Rival account, you receive $10 in credits once you verify your phone number. These credits are deposited into your organization’s wallet and are ready to use immediately - no further action required.
Credits are the currency of the Rival platform. Every tool execution costs credits based on the compute time it consumes. Welcome credits give you a real budget to start building and exploring without needing to add a payment method first.
What You Can Use Welcome Credits For
Welcome credits work like any other credits in your wallet. You can use them to:
- Run your own tools during development and testing
- Try tools published on the marketplace at cortexone.rival.io
- Make test executions while integrating tools into your own projects
There are no restrictions on how you spend them - they behave exactly like credits you would top up yourself.
How to Verify Your Phone Number
Phone verification takes place in your workspace settings. To complete it:
Step 1 - Open Workspace Settings
In Dashboard, navigate to Workspace Settings and select the Organization tab.
Step 2 - Enter Your Phone Number
Locate the Phone Number field and enter your number, including the country code.
Step 3 - Verify the OTP
Rival will send a one-time passcode to that number. Enter the code to confirm, and your $10 in welcome credits will be added to your organization’s wallet.
What Verification Also Unlocks
Completing phone verification does more than add credits. It also makes your organization eligible for the Referral Program, which lets you earn a percentage of revenue from builders you refer to the platform.
Credits Are Shared Across Your Organization
Welcome credits - like all credits on Rival - are tied to your organization, not your personal account. Every member of your org draws from the same credit pool. If you have teammates in your workspace, they can use these credits too.
After Your Welcome Credits Run Out
Once your welcome credits are spent, tool executions will begin drawing from whatever balance remains in your wallet. If the balance reaches $0, executions will fail with a 402 Payment Required error until credits are added.
To keep things running, top up your wallet from the Billing section in Dashboard. Your tools and their data are never affected by a low balance - only execution is paused.
